I got my haircut last night.\u00a0 I used to go to a salon to have my hair cut, but with the\u00a0economy the way it is,\u00a0I now go to a barbershop.\u00a0\u00a0 Barbershop or Salon it doesn’t matter, my head\u00a0hairs are slowly\u00a0disappearing and\u00a0reappearing on other, unappreciated, parts of my body.<\/p>\n
My barber, Rick, is a nice guy.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Rick cuts my hair\u00a0in a\u00a0forward direction\u00a0to\u00a0make it look like I have\u00a0thicker and more\u00a0hair than I really do.\u00a0 I\u00a0appreciate that even though I\u00a0still see a lot of head skin\u00a0between\u00a0my\u00a0loyal remaining\u00a0head hairs. Getting\u00a0my haircut from Rick allows me\u00a0to experience a feeling that I rarely have\u00a0anymore, vanity.<\/p>\n
The other day I was playing with my daughter and she said “Daddy, you have a hair in your ear.”\u00a0 It was in my ear all right; growing in my ear.\u00a0 I\u00a0got my\u00a0tweezers and plucked it out.\u00a0 It wasn’t the first and it won’t be the last ear hair.<\/p>\n
Maybe it’s because\u00a0I see\u00a0fewer head hairs\u00a0that I\u00a0am noticing hairs growing in\u00a0strange unwanted places. I\u00a0don’t see the evolutionary use or need\u00a0for\u00a0me or any middle aged American man to\u00a0grow hair\u00a0on stupid\u00a0places.\u00a0\u00a0 My ass doesn’t need any more hair, but yet more hair grows… why?\u00a0\u00a0 My neck, shoulders, ears, knuckles, nostrils and eyebrows\u00a0are\u00a0now places of vigorous hair growth.\u00a0 My head is jealous and\u00a0I’m confused.<\/p>\n
Imagining that no one will\u00a0notice\u00a0I’m getting old if\u00a0I\u00a0remove those\u00a0crazy hairs, I’m on constant pluck\u00a0patrol for\u00a0these unwanted stowaways.\u00a0\u00a0They are removed\u00a0as soon as I see them.\u00a0 I\u00a0remove them\u00a0and then\u00a0humiliate them by flicking them into the sink and washing them down the drain.\u00a0 I satisfy myself that I will never see those hairs again.\u00a0 Yeah, right.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
